From in-person concerts at University Hospital, to online performances on YouTube, performances are a part of the Michigan Medicine culture.
Performances are a part of the culture of Michigan Medicine. For over 30 years, concerts have been held in-person in the University Hospital main lobby, or outdoors in the courtyard in the summertime. Online performances in music, theater, and dance are streamed once a month and are available for watching on demand on YouTube anytime after broadcast.

The Life Sciences Orchestra (LSO) gives the Michigan Medicine community an opportunity to perform together twice a year in the celebrated Hill Auditorium. As members play together in a large ensemble, they strengthen relationships and build community. The free concerts are enjoyed by audiences of more than 1,000 friends, families and community members.

In units where visitation is limited, Gifts of Art partners with Project: Music Heals Us to offer private real-time concerts by accomplished musicians for inpatients from remote locations. For more information, contact Elaine Sims.
